As I have never owned a high end reflex sight, like an Eotech, I can't compare this to others. Suffice to say it fits and performs exactly as I expected and is the second Aim Sports sight I have purchased.
great sight and fast shipment May 28, 2010 singleactionjackson 1 out of 4 found this review helpful

NcStar or AIM ??? August 16, 2010 M. Abbott (Los Angeles, CA) I ordered this "Aluminum Red Dot sight" by AIM but received the NcSTAR unit.?? Not sure what that is about! I guess they are essentially identical in form and function. This unit has only a Red Color option unlike it's product description that says it has green and red. It works and fits well enough, but there is very little difference between all 7 levels of laser intensity, each setting is basically undistinguishable from all the others. Also, when I took the battery cover off to install the battery it was almost impossible to screw back into place. The threads just wouldn't catch. After working on it for 20/30 minutes, I gave it one last brute force try to force it into place before I was going to package it up and send it back. I ended up scarring the metal in the process. Overall the unit is a good price compared to what you would pay ($49-$69) at a gunshow, however as always...You get what you pay for. If you want a high quality well made sight that sports distinguishable intensity settings and duel color features you should spend the $300-$600 it costs. If you need something cheap and workable, this is for you. I have not zeroed the sight yet, but I'll be keeping my expectations low.
